A newborn research group at the University of Miyazaki, Japan, led by Kenta Koyanagi. We explore the dynamic interactions among vegetation, water, and sediment through interdisciplinary and international collaborations. Our mission is to enable the sustainable development of mountain watersheds by providing clearer insight into how disturbance impacts propagate downstream from hillslopes through river networks.

2025年11月に始動した宮崎大学農学部 森林環境持続性科学領域 山地流域管理学研究室のホームページです。本研究室では上流の山々が人や自然の力で撹乱された時に、植物、水、土砂の関係性がどう変わり、下流にはどのようなインパクトがあるのかを研究しています。雨が多く、火山活動が活発で、林業も盛んな宮崎県という地の利を活かし、国際的・学際的な研究にも取り組んでいく予定です。
