Science from Miyazaki

Akira Nagaoka’s group studies the high-quality functional materials from unique crystal growth techniques. Most of the work is inspired by the engineering applications of thermoelectrics, photovoltaics and radiation. Understanding of reliable material properties from fundamental research enables us to create highly efficient energy conversion device. We aim to contribute to a sustainable society by promoting innovation in energy technology.
