２００８／２／１　宮崎県産魚類リストの構築と宮崎県産魚類の生息･分布情報の提供のお願い
　宮崎県産魚類リストの完全に近いものは、まだ報告あるいは十分に調査されているとは言い難い。岩槻（1983）に673種が報告されているが、その後私の研究室により精力的に研究され、報告されたものもあるが、未報告のものも多い。幾つか個別グループでは沿岸性魚類のであるフエダイ科（Iwatsuki et al., 1992）、アジ科（Iwatsuki et al., 1993）、メジナ科とイスズミ科（Iwatsuki et al., 1993）は報告されたが、その後これらの報告後にも確認されたが、未報告のものも多い。
　淡水魚は、古くは霧島山系総合調査により、山根 （1969, 1970）により一連の報告がある。河川のアセスメント調査過程で各河川の報告（赤崎,　1974; 赤崎･平野、1989; 赤崎ら、1993）はあるが、まとまった報告はなかった。その後、岩槻（1999）により宮崎大学学内合同研究で「宮崎県産の淡水魚リストの確立」が報告され、続けて岩槻（2000）により宮崎県北部の延岡市環境基本計画の自然環境調査報告書で報告された。しかし、いずれも十分調査された、また標本に基づく十分な報告ではない。
　資源や保全、生物多様性研究をするには、魚類リストは土台であり、水産学･魚類学の基礎情報でもある。早急に宮崎県産魚類リストを実際の魚類標本に基づくリストが必要である。
　例えば、1980年年代では、シロサバフグやクロサバフグの両方とも宮崎県の沿岸では普通にみられ、また漁獲されていたが、近年ではシロサバフグは、全く漁獲されないようだ。更に特に淡水魚では、県内の大雑把な分布や生息地を把握出来るような生息地の概要が分かる分布図を示せるようなデーターベースの構築も必要であろう。このようなことが、宮崎大学農学部水産科学講座保管の宮崎大学魚類学術標本（MUFS）及びその学術標本データベースからからわかるような、かって例のない魚類リストのデータベースの構築が必要と判断される。今後検討を加えながら、検討していきたいと考えている。

下記の魚種リストで宮崎県で確認されていない魚類の情報、写真あるいは標本をお持ちの場合はご連絡くださるようお願い申し上げます。

　 魚類の科番号は, Nelson（2004）に従っています。チェックしたい目を選んだ後、科を選んでください。科の中にそれぞれの種のリストが列記されています。宮崎県で標本に基づいて確認されたものは「○」とし、まだ確認されていないものは「×」としています。宮崎大学魚類学術標本（MUFS）として登録保管されているもの、あるいはMUFSにはないが他の研究機関に確実な標本が保管･登録されているものがある場合には「S、specimens」としています。他の研究機関が所蔵する場合にはコメント項目にその情報を記述しました。水中写真や釣り上げた写真がある場合は、「P, photographs」としました。その他参考となる未確認情報でも何かあればコメントに記しました。
