Pig Sorting System

スカブター ロゴ
By combining AI and IoT, the system measures the weight of pigs and selects those that are ready for shipment.
This device can measure the weight of several hundred pigs with a single unit. It is installed between the feeding area and the resting area, and automatically measures each pig’s weight as they pass through the system on their way to the feeding area.

This fully automated system is designed for large-scale pig farms and can measure the weight of hundreds of pigs with a single device. Installed between the feeding and resting areas, it measures each pig’s weight automatically as they pass through. Pigs under 115 kg are guided to the feeding area, while those over 115 kg are directed to the shipping area, enabling efficient and accurate sorting. By reducing manual labor and preventing human error, it lowers workload and improves operational reliability. In addition, the system minimizes stress on the pigs and supports animal welfare. Weight measurement is performed using image processing and AI, while IoT technology controls the overall system.

Advantages and Performance of the Pig Sorting System

With a single system capable of managing several thousand pigs, it is ideally suited for large-scale pig farms where conventional management has been difficult. The system automatically performs growth monitoring, early disease detection, and optimal shipment timing determination. All of these processes operate autonomously without the need for manual labor.

The system is installed in the pathway connecting the resting area to the feeding area, and pigs must pass through this pathway whenever they go to eat. During this passage, their weight is automatically estimated, and pigs exceeding 120 kg are automatically guided to the shipping area.
