This device can measure the weight of several hundred pigs with a single unit. As it moves around the farm, it automatically measures the weight of all pigs in each section.

Recently, the All-In-All-Out (AIAO) production method has become increasingly common in pig farms. This system determines the shipping date by accurately grasping the average weight of all pigs in each pen. Like a silent “ninja,” it moves through the farm while measuring pig weights.

To prevent infectious diseases, modern pig farms commonly adopt the AIAO (All-In All-Out) system. Since all pigs in each pen are shipped at once, workers move from pen to pen to perform their tasks.
This device quietly captures images without being noticed by the pigs.

System Flow

Combining a 3D camera with AI technology, the system performs high-precision, non-contact weight estimation. Scabuter Ninja reads the identification tags installed in each pen. As the system moves along the overhead cable, it stops when a tag is detected and measures the pigs’ weight.
After the measurement is completed, it automatically moves to the next pen. It also supports back-and-forth travel, allowing it to run through the barn multiple times.

System Setting

Install the system on the cable and set it up so that it can move properly.

Once the system is powered on, it begins automatic navigation.

Automatic Travel Inside the Barn

The system automatically patrols the barn along the cable route.

Stop When a Tag Is Detected

When the system reads a tag, it stops and performs weight estimation for the pigs in that section.

Move to the Next Tag

After the estimation is completed, it resumes movement and makes a U-turn when reaching the end of the corridor.

Weight Estimation of the Entire Farm

Using this method, the system can automatically estimate the weight of all pigs across the entire farm.

Taking real farm environments into account, our system uses a method that can measure the weight not only of standing pigs but also pigs that are lying down or sitting.
